galleries and artistic performances. Visit one of the area's historic attractions. Explore

along the Blue Ridge Parkway. And throughout the year, there are events, festivals and

Signature Events*
Lake Cruise: Join our experienced captains for a one & one-half hour
narrative cruise around Lake Lure. You will learn the history of the Lake and Hickory Nut
Gorge, see significant landmarks and spectacular scenery. Please make reservations by

The Lake Lure Dinner Cruise: The two (2) hour cruise will awaken your
senses. You will see exciting, beautiful sights along a picturesque shoreline. You will feel
the mystique, relaxation and adventure of our dinner boat as you cruise in the evening air
sipping a complimentary beverage. You will taste exquisite flavors presented in a creative
style. Seating is limited and advance reservations and payments are required. Guests have a
choice of four (4) entrees to select from. We can even host special events on board. For

Tennis Round Robin: Join us to find a partner and to play with new
people in a rotational game of tennis. Winners are awarded a small prize. Round Robins
are held on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Meet at the Spa & Fitness
Center. The fee is $5.00 per player, ages 16 and older.
Welcome/Orientation Events*
Welcome Coffee: Mondays in May: Stop by the Lakeview Restaurant ABC
Room from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for resort and area information. A recreation representative
will be there to answer questions about area attractions. Free coffee and door prizes included.
Family Events*
Biltmore House & Gardens Trip: Allow us to drop you off right at the
front door of Western North Carolina's most magnificent attraction. Your ticket, transportation,
and a historical narrative of the house are included in the $65.00 fee. We will depart on Tuesday
at 8:30 a.m. from the Spa & Fitness Center and return by 4:30 p.m., allowing you ample time to
tour the house, gardens, and the winery. Reservations are required at 828-625-3005.
Hiking and Excursions: Want to hike to Ken's Rock or see spectacular mountain
waterfalls? The Spa & Fitness Center has information and maps on hiking trails in the area. Special
guided hikes and excursions may be arranged. Call to inquire at 828-625-3005.
Lakeside Putting Challenge: The Lakeside Putting Challenge is located
lakeside at the Spa & Fitness Center. The course is a professional 18-hole mini golf course
and offers the player a fun but challenging time. The whole family can enjoy the beauty of the
course with a view of the beach front in the background. Bring out the family for fun and
test your putting skills. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Pick up your club
and ball at the front desk of the Spa & Fitness Center. Play 18 holes for only $5.00 per
person with a replay fee of $2.50.
Lion's Club Bingo: Stop by Lakeview Restaurant ABC Room on Tuesday evening
and enjoy a fun-filled night of Bingo, sponsored by the Lake Lure Lion's Club. Bingo cards
are $2.00 each or three (3) cards for $5.00.
Scenic Tours "Waterfalls & Hiking": Travel by van from the
Resort to hike and see spectacular waterfalls at Du Pont State Forest. Stop for a grand buffet
lunch in Brevard, travel through the Pisgah Forest on scenic Highway 276, hike, learn about
the area, and see more beautiful waterfalls. There is limited seating so call 828-625-3005
for more information and to reserve your spot. Cost is $30.00 per person.
Children's or Teen Activities*
Kids Only Kayak Tours - Mondays in May - Kids ages 7-13 get to explore
Lake Lure by kayak. Learn about the ancient sport of kayaking. We embark on our wildlife
journey from the Beach Cabana and glide gently along looking for Bald Eagles, Great Blue
Herons, and Turtles. Activity Level: Beginner oriented, no experience necessary. 3:30 p.m.
